Students for a New American Politics PAC is excited to announce its endorsement of Amanda Renteria, the Democratic candidate for California’s 21st Congressional District. “Two SNAP Fellows, passionate young activists, will be working as field organizers in Renteria’s Central Valley district this summer to prepare the district for victory.”
Renteria, who was born and raised in the Central Valley to migrant farmworker parents, is a former high school teacher, the first Latina in history to serve as Chief of Staff in the U.S. Senate, and she has a proven track record spearheading effective economic and agriculture policy.
Renteria has dedicated much of her life to public service and helping expand opportunities for our youth and families.
In Congress, Renteria will fight for immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship, access to higher education, and create more economic opportunities for all of our families and our children. Given the depth and breadth of her experience in government, teaching, and business, Renteria will be a strong addition to the House of Representatives.
“Renteria understands how government policy can be used to help hard working people gain opportunities,” said SNAP PAC Political Director Jacob Wolf-Sorokin. “Residents of California’s 21st District will be lucky to have a representative who will fight to strengthen and expand the middle class and create opportunity for everyone across the Valley.”
